These terms govern your use of Saath, a mobile and web application published by
Saathlegal ("we", "us"). Saath is available on Google Play as
in.saath.app and on the web. By using Saath, you agree to these terms.
Saath explains Indian legal procedure in plain language. You can upload a legal document or describe your situation, and Saath explains what it means, which stage of the process you are at, what deadlines apply, and what your rights are.
Saath provides educational legal information only. It is not legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Saath is not a law firm, and nobody at Saathlegal acts as your advocate. Saath is not a government service and is not affiliated with any court, police force or government department.
Every matter turns on its own facts, and only a licensed advocate who knows all of yours can advise you. Always consult one before acting on anything you read in the app.
Saath explains law and procedure as we understand them, and law changes. We do our best to be accurate, but we do not warrant that everything in the app is complete, current or correct for your situation. You use Saath at your own discretion, and decisions about your matter remain yours.
Saath has a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans give you a larger allowance of cases, questions, document pages and generated content for a fixed period. Prices are shown in the app before you pay, in Indian Rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes.
Payment is taken by a licensed payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card or bank details. Plans are one-time purchases that do not renew automatically, and payments are non-refundable — see the Refund and Cancellation Policy for the full terms, including how we correct payment errors.
Free allowances are counted per account and do not reset when you delete a case or reinstall the app.
You agree not to:
We may suspend an account that does any of these.
Documents, case details and notes you put into Saath remain yours. You give us permission to process them only so far as is needed to provide the service to you. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy.
Saath includes emergency contact information and rights explanations. These are provided free to everyone and are never placed behind a paywall. Saath is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112 or 100, or contact the relevant helpline directly.
To the extent permitted by Indian law, Saathlegal is not liable for any loss arising from your use of Saath, including any decision you take or do not take about a legal matter. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms. Where a change is significant we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Saath after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
